What to do?
I wish I could put a poll up on this blog because I have something I want people to vote on.
So, yeah - I'm fairly uneducated - me and my high school diploma - lol. But I've really been struggling with the idea of returning to school. But not to get my BA - instead I would like to leap-frog to an MBA. Phoenix Seminary allows students, under the right circumstances, to enroll in the MBA program even if they don't possess a BA. Now, what I would really like to do is take my classes from Biola because about 90% of my favorite Christian Apologetic professors teach - I could be taught by many of my contemporary Christian heros. Wow - to "sit at their feet and drink of their knowledge" - i get goose bumps thinking about it.
Well, I'm getting off-topic a little. Biola offers one of the only Apologetic MBA's in the country - unfortunately for me, they don't allow people without BA's to enroll. So I guess the questions are - should I try my hand at Phoenix Seminary? Should I try to get my BA and then do Biola online? Ugh, sooo much commitment for such a long time and I'm such a wimp when it comes to that type of stuff. What to do, what to do?
Any advice from you fellow readers would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you're trying to "build a house without a foundation." There is not a ton of specifics to be learned in your BA, BUT it's a foundation of knowledge to build off of...get the BA dude. Otherwise, I fear, you'll be lost part of the time in your MBA...where every second is valuable.
This probably isn't what you wanted to hear...but I hope it helps.
After you get your BA you'll get to go to Biola!
no - it's okay. i'm not interested in hearing advice from people who will tell me things that they think i want to hear. i find myself constantly shaping my perspective and faith because i believe so strongly in searching for the truth. so if the truth in this case is to get the BA before the MBA, then that's what i need to hear. :)

I would say if you're just doing it for the degree, go the fastest, easiest route. If you really want to fulfill a dream and go to Biola and "sit at the feet" of people you truly respect and admire, get the BA!
It's easy for me to say! I don't have my BA either. I admire you for even wanting to go back to school. So, I'd say you have to weigh the degree vs. the dream. (Hope that makes sense.) : )
Good luck whatever you decide!
I also don't have a BA - so take this advice with a grain of salt. When I was in college working towards getting my BA, I regularly found myself being frustrated by the lack of seriousness by my classmates. It was as if they were just killing time and I felt the pace wasn't fast enough. I'm no genius, but there was no challenge - so I easily got bored. More than half-way through, I dropped out and took up my career professionally and haven't looked back. That said, I did have some experiences in college that are invaluable to me - they were from professors that recognized that I needed to be challenged - and those experiences will always stay with me. You're a pretty sharp guy, so if you can find likeminded classmates and professors that can challenge and teach you, the BA is the way to go. My 2ยข.
