24 = 72?
Jack is back for 72 more hours of world-saving action and drama, that is, if FOX decides to pick up the show beyond next season. Keifer Sutherland has inked a deal that will keep him on the show for another 3 seasons, make him an executive producer (currently he is the co-executire producer), pay him $40 million over the next 3 years and also help him launch his own television production company. You can read more about the news here. Hopefully FOX will pick up the show for the remaining 2 seasons to make this happen.

I had read about Keifer signing on for three more years too. Surely FOX knows it has a good thing in Jack Bauer! I can't imagine them letting him go. Now let's just hope the writer's can keep coming up with new plots for Jack to thwart!
Can't wait to see what exciting things lie ahead for Jack tonight!!!!
If Jack tells FOX the show will be on for 3 more years...it will be on for 3 more years - lol

LOL! That's the truth! Great episode last night, huh? (Don't want to say too much in case you haven't watched it yet?) : )
Today in TV Guide I read (paraphrased): President Logan will just think it's bad having Jack after him. Just wait till his wife finds out what he's done! "Hell hath no fury....." LOL!
Yeah - we watched it - my dislike for him is directly proportional to his screen time - the more he is on, the more I can't stand him. That's pretty good insight regarding the First Lady - once she finds out, Jack won't have a chance to finish him off - she will have done the work for him.
Well, I think there are only 7 more episodes left for the season - I don't know how much they can keep the tension up for the remaining shows - but I'm sure they will find a way to do it.

Lastnight's episode was pretty sweet. I agree that the president is almost unbearable to watch. At the beginning of the season, I wondered why they'd cast this guy as the president - it seemed to unreal - compared to Palmer. Now I know why.
I hope that when he starts his new production co., that he will be able to keep the synergy in his writing staff - even on different shows.
Man, I missed out on the first few weeks this season. So there really wasn't any point to watch afterwards...
but maybe (here comes my catchphrase when it comes to 24) maybe I'll just rent the entire season and watch it over a weekend or something
Dan - how's the Mere Christianity CD's coming along? Man I love that book!
Ross - yeah, once you miss a few shows, it's really difficult to pick up on the story and follow it through because so much happens. A weekend of 24 sounds like fun!

Shawn - I finished 'Mere Christianity' on Sunday afternoon. That was a great book! I'd downloaded it from iTunes and I think I'll listen to it again - it's just so intense that, you really have to give it all your mindshare.....
There are so many ideas in the book that have changed my perception of God and, in fact, my perception of reality itself. CS Lewis has an excellent grasp of The Plan and has managed to be succinct with its explanation.
I think we need to organize a 'Mere Christianity' bus trip. 10 hours - 5 hours for the book, 5 hours for discussion.....

Dan - I would love to do a Mere Christianity study in the Young Adult's class. Perhaps after we are complete with the Apologetics DVD and Study session we are going begin this week we can do it. It's a fantastic book and he has an excellent grasp on very difficult topics and he offers great illustrations with which to explain them.
Definitely one of my all-time favorite books next to the Bible. I've read it countless times - very impactful.
