Musings from a Ragamuffin

"Christianity is not a series of truths in the plural, but rather a truth spelled with a capital 'T'. Truth about total reality, not just about religious things. Biblical Christianity is Truth concerning total reality - and the intellectual hold of that Total Truth and then living in the light of that Truth." - Francis Schaeffer

I'm In Cheese Heaven!!!

Woo Hoo - Brett Favre has stated that he will return to the Green & Gold this upcoming football season. Whew...I'm so ecstatic and elated. I was really hoping he would return for at least one more season, although I'd really like to see him back for two before hanging up the cleats. This white boy don't dance, but I'm dancing tonight!!! Yeah Baby!!!!

GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!

lol - dude, favre had zero help last year - probably less than zero. if they can keep his weapons healthy and keep a consistent offensive line in front of him, he will do fine. i was so glad when they fired Sherman - he did nothing for the team. he constantly let good defensive fa's go and then he started letting favre's o-line go as well a couple of seasons ago. it's terrible what he did to that team.

packers are going to be at least 10-6 next season. :) yep, i'm drinking to koolaid early...

I like Brett Favre and am glad we'll get to watch him play for at least another season. I've got a question for you. How come there are so many "cheese heads" here in Arizona? I mean, Wisconsin's a long way from here, but I've run into bunches of Green Bay fans.

Remember, I'm just a Texas girl and most everyone there rooted for the "evil" Dallas Cowboys (forgive me...I inherited a prejudice towards them) or for the always hopeful, yet never quite getting there underdogs, the Houston Oilers (now the "evil" Tennessee Titans) : ) or (my personal favorite) Houston Texans. Just curious.....

I'm really trying to get excited about the Arizona Cardinals, but there isn't much there to be excited about it seems! : ) Of course, the Texans didn't give me much to be excited about last season either, but there's always next season......

Elizabeth - I'm not really sure why there are so many Cheese Heads in Arizona. It might be all the snow birds from that area come here during the Winter months. I'm a Packers fan for a couple of reasons. 1. I was born in Long Beach, CA., but gew up most of my life in Albuquerque, NM - they didn't have an NFL team. 2. My step-father allegedly (he had some trouble telling the truth, so I never know how accurate this story is) had a really good friend who played for the Packers during the Lombardi era - Gerry Kramer. Either way, growing up watching footbal - you either rooted for the Packers or else! I've been a fan since the mid-to-late 70's. :)
