Musings from a Ragamuffin

"Christianity is not a series of truths in the plural, but rather a truth spelled with a capital 'T'. Truth about total reality, not just about religious things. Biblical Christianity is Truth concerning total reality - and the intellectual hold of that Total Truth and then living in the light of that Truth." - Francis Schaeffer

A Matter Of Taste

I admit it - The Beatles are by far the best band ever and I have absolutely no qualms about saying so. I got into them back in the Spring of 1980. I had come home from school that day and I walked into our home and told my mom that she listened to that "old fuddy music". She said, "Oh really?" Then she put me in the car and we went for a ride to the record store. Once there, she bought me the Beatles "White Album" on vinyl. I was instantly hooked! My collection now is huge - I've got so much stuff by them it's probably ridiculous. Anyway - just had to have a random, mindless post and I couldn't think of a better topic for a post than this one.

I'd have to agree with you, Shawn. The Beatles are the best band ever. And I think Paul McCartney is one of the best songwriters ever.

I, too, have a LOT of Beatles' music. I've liked them since I was a kid. (I'm dating myself, I know, but I even used to watch the Beatles' animated cartoon on Saturday mornings when I was little!)

Rock on! ; )

Elizabeth - Not sure if you guys own this one or not, but if you ever want to watch the original Ed Sullivan episodes with the Beatles - I've got all four on DVD. It's the complete show, not just their performances and it has all the old commercials - it's a riot to watch.

Oh, and I've had the priviledge of seeing Sir Paul in concert 2 and a half times now. He puts on the absolute best show I've ever seen and I've been to a ton of concerts.

Ok, I'm completely jealous! I've never seen Sir Paul in concert. It's always sold out when I've tried. And I'd love to see the Ed Sullivan Beatles episodes. How cool! I have the recordings on a CD of those performances, but we don't have the DVD with the visual.
